the anniversary

Today is our fourth wedding anniversary. Nothing unusual happened. No luscious meal, no extravagant gifts and no fancy celebration. Just a simple exchanged of greetings coupled with hugs and kisses. To make our lunch a bit special i prepared pansit, chicken lumpia and grilled pork chop. We can't have our dinner together because hubby is on a night shift thus a sumptuous lunch would do. Apparently, we've been planning to go to Serendra in Taguig for ages now :) and tomorrow would be a great chance for us to go there to celebrate our 8th years of being together. I'm eyeing Conti's Pastry Shop & Restaurant for our lunch date. I'd read a lot of good reviews in terms of food taste, price and the cakes to die for. Hoping that we won't be waiting for a long queue to be served the only downside i've read so far.

**an update: as planned our first time together at Serendra Taguig to think it was just on the other side of Market!Market! Been there for several times na rin without knowing the other side of it is a place where you could chill out, hang around & have fine dining of your choice.

Hubby loves the place. He felt he was in another dimension of the earth :0 After wandering half of the area we finally found Conti's Resto. I thought arriving in Conti's at past 1 p.m. would be less customers & fast service but i was totally wrong. In my desire to taste their mango bravo and offer hubby the best tasting food in town, we waited. We're the 9th customer waiting outside. I ignored the torrid weather, extended my patience because in the first place it's all my idea but i almost burst out after more than 30 minutes of waiting and again another 30minutes of waiting for our order to serve. Hay! i just laughed it off when the waiter keeps serving our food to the next table instead to us..hayan nauna pa silang kumain kesa sa amin. Our verdict?! For me the cakes are worth it. I agree Mango bravo is truly a winner but not on my husband's taste bud for the reason that he's not into mango fruits. I suggest they could expand the space more to accommodate their growing customers. Honestly, i was quite disappointed with our experience nevertheless i'd still recommend their cakes & pastries.
