Manila Ocean Park

To shun away momentarily from all my heartaches, i found myself at Manila Ocean Park. It’s the perfect place as well for my daughter to learn and see some of the sea creatures. The long distance & hours of travel from our home didn’t bother me to locate the place.

MOP is located near Manila Hotel and the Floating Restaurant along Quirino Street. An entrance fee of P400 for adult and P350 for kids below 4.5 feet in height. You will experience a wide variety of species, such as sharks, fishes and invertebrates indigenous to the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Fast foods and restaurants are on the side of the lobby giving you a variety of choices when your tummy starts to growl after roaming and strolling around the area. The underwater tunnel is the main attraction albeit it’s just 25 meter walk long you'll be enchanted to see those awesome creatures twirling around. They also offer a buffet meal at the second floor wherein you can find the fish spa, shark viewing area, glass bottom boat ride and the whale shark stencil table area for kids aside from the panoramic view of Manila Bay. This area provides a choice of unique and fun activities. There are constructions going on as the actual plan of the building is not completed yet .

I let my daughter to have her own activity aside from seeing those different kinds and sizes of fish; she did some art works and play with the kids. Before reaching the final end meaning going back to the lobby we passed by at the souvenir shop. A wide array of shirts, bags, toys, stationeries and personalized picture frames are available. In front of the souvenir shop another entertainment awaits for the kids & those kids at heart- the Tom’s World.

The Oceanarium

My daughter had so much fun, she doesn’t mind the long walk we had while looking for a taxi on our way home. ;)
